'Okcheondang', which sells oriental medicines, was selected as the'Local Star Enterprise Promotion Project' in recognition of its growth potential and regional contribution.
Daegu City and Daegu Techno Park announced on the 1st that they held a designation ceremony for 15 companies newly selected as “2020 Daegu Regional Star Enterprises” by the Ministry of Small and Medium Venture Businesses at Inter-Burgo Hotel in Daegu.
The'Local Star Enterprise Promotion Project' is a project expanded nationwide in 2018 by benchmarking the'Daegu City Star Enterprise Promotion Project' by the Ministry of Small and Medium Venture Businesses. It is a project to foster as a'global small hidden champion'.
22 companies applied for the recruitment of new local star companies this year, which was held from February 10 to March 20, and the final 15 companies were selected through procedures such as financial and requirements review, presentation evaluation, etc.

(Seong Min Sung / Oriental Medicine and Oriental Medicine Computing Platform) ▲ GE Tech Co., Ltd. (Yoonhyun Cho / Environmental Pollution Prevention Facility) ▲ Jinmyung I&C Co., Ltd. This year, the average sales of 15 regional star companies in Daegu were 16.5 billion won and 44 employees were employed, and the average annual sales growth rate (CAGR) for three years was 12.7% and employment was 9.1%.
Selected companies receive dedicated PM (Project Manager) matching, growth strategy establishment consulting, commercialization R&D planning support, and corporate autonomous technology innovation support through Daegu Techno Park. In addition, it will grow into a global small-scale enterprise with various support from the central government and Daegu City.
Daegu City Economic Bureau Director Choi Un-baek said, “We will provide systematic support so that local star companies in Daegu can revitalize the local economy and lead to job creation.”
